[read time: during your morning routine, of course]
When you work for a large corporation, typically you also have access to business related information in the same simple and clear format. It might be a sales dashboard pushed to the management group each morning; or an inventory snapshot as of the start of business; or a summary of key operational metrics that make the work day that much more productive.
So do small business owners have the same productive start to their day???
In short, some do, most don’t. Many years ago, the computing power and support required to make information available on your mobile device each morning was only something a large corporation could offer. At a time when cloud storage and accessibility was not part of our daily lives, small business owners would never have imagined having access to the key information that they need to run their business at their fingertips.
So what’s changed???
Again in short, almost everything. However, one of the key changes that has taken place for small business owners is that they now can have their accounting systems fully operating in the cloud. Since it’s in the cloud, the ability to access information becomes automatic. Since most key metrics to run a business have some sort of financial relationship, cloud based accounting systems give every business owner the power to run their business more efficiently.
Of course, just technically having access to the information is half the battle. The other half: partnering with the right accountants to ensure you get what you need, exactly how you need it!!!
