We’re thirteen lucky years in the future now, and the 2017 event is anticipated to do exactly what every Cyber Monday has accomplished before it – significantly surpass its sales from the year before. According to Adobe estimates,
Cyber Monday 2017 is projected to generate
– wait for it –
$8.4 Billion in sales for businesses!!!
Obviously the evolution of technology, as well as the general public’s comfort with online sales, are primary drivers of this global phenomenon. However, experts also point to the adaptive nature of so many businesses around the world – large and small – as a key contributor to how the retail space has changed. In other words, you can’t get to $8.4 Billion without traditional businesses coming on board.
And not only is Cyber Monday 2017 expected to hit an all-time high in sales for the event, but there is also one additional significant difference this year. For the first time ever, mobile purchases are set to exceed desktop buys as:
55% of purchases are expected to be made from mobile devices!!!
If you’re a traditional business that doesn’t typically partake in Cyber Monday – for whatever reason – you have approximately 365 days to figure out how you can be a part of the record-breaking event in 2018!!!
And if the 2017 event is teaching us one thing, it’s that your business MUST embrace MOBILE in order to capitalize on opportunities in the years to come.
